Happy Peace and Relaxation Day Everyone! How are you celebrating?
At our house we are having a quiet morning, enjoying everyone being home for the few days this summer Ry is in town as well as the last weeks with Krista before she heads off to college in the Fall.
The birds are chattering in the trees, singing and talking. The sky is that forever blue unique to summer days, where you feel like you could fall upwards into the forever of it.
We watched a young squirrel out the kitchen window this morning eating the flowers off a lantana bush. So adorable, until they eat all my peaches, then I wish they would get the concept of sharing.
The dogs are lounging, it seems they celebrate Peace and Relaxation Day everyday. We are all puttering around, enjoying the freedom of spare time, relishing this time together, with no agenda.
Okay, so I know it is not really Peace and Relaxation Day, but a girl can dream, can't she? My friend Amy Wise posted this on Facebook today, and it got me thinking about how very important it is to honor taking time for ourselves, and that we do not have a national holiday dedicated to that. So find your way to enjoy peace and relaxation, and pass it on. It is important for our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being.
It has been a busy year so far, with more energies heating up with the summer. We are all being called upon in many ways. Look around, most everyone is feeling it. It is important that we find our own version of Peace and Relaxation Day to rest and rejuvenate so that we are able to continue to do all we are being called upon to do. There is more to come, so it is a good idea for us to take the time we can to rest and relax, and be in peace!
Sending you all love and blessings, and my warmest wishes for a Happy Peace and Relaxation Day whenever you can celebrate!
Dogs do celebrate Peace and Relaxation day everyday, don't they. That's what Lola is doing right now. I'm having a busy week, so I can't stop to rest right now, but I'm going to put my own Peace and Relaxation day on the calendar very soon. Fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a Peace and Relaxation Day. In fact, I'm really trying to devote one day every weekend to doing nothing. I mean, have nothing concrete planned. I want to be able to sleep in, sip some coffee and read blogs while Sophie enjoys some morning TV time, and then do whatever feels good. Maybe we hang out at home all day. Maybe we go out. I just like the feeling of having nothing planned. I feel that if I can't have a morning like that once a weekend that my week is completely off. So I say Happy Peace and Relaxation Day to you!
ReplyDelete@Shary I know right?! Our dogs, I think they are trying to remind us of how we can be sometimes. Whenever you fit it in, enjoy your own Peace and Relaxation Day!
ReplyDelete@Leah I do too! I love the idea of once a week, just being able to be in the flow! That is what we did today! I love it!
Thank you ladies for reading!
I think there should be a day for this at least once a month if not every week.. how we honor our bodies and our minds is so very important. We in our earthly domains, have become programed to constantly go and do; we forget about the time of stillness... the space between the red and green light..the space between the words..the understanding of going within. " Be Still and Listen" listen to what your own self needs...BE what you deserve , Love who you are, Respect your self!!
ReplyDeleteHows that for my first connection!
This is a wonderful first connection! I love it! I agree with you Lynn! I try to have at least one of these a week, and to allow time each day to just be, no agenda. To be present and allow myself quiet time. Be Still and Listen. If we realize that being connected is a two way conversation, we are very good at asking and sending out our requests, it is important to be able to get the response. How can we listen if we are so busy in our doing? It is the ultimate form of taking care of yourself, you are so right!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for reading and responding Lynn! So great to 'see' you here!
